Meet the team

Morgan Davies-Walker

Morgan joined the Arad team in 2021. His research and evaluation interests include arts and culture, education, Welsh language policy and community regeneration.

Whilst studying Human Social and Political Sciences at the University of Cambridge, Morgan majored in the anthropological method of ethnography with a minor in sociological methods of qualitative and quantitative research. During the final year of his undergraduate degree, he completed a 12-month independent ethnographic research project which analysed the experiences and perspectives of LGBTQ+ people living in rural areas of Wales – the first research of this kind to take place in Wales. Morgan is an elected scholar of King’s College, Cambridge and has won awards for achieving the highest exam results in his final year cohort.

Equipped with experience in conducting in-depth qualitative research through the medium of Welsh and English, Morgan has thus far undertaken analysis of qualitative responses on projects including the evaluation of schools’ preparations to implement the new Curriculum for Wales and an evaluation of the Childcare Offer, both on behalf of the Welsh Government. He is also involved in Arad’s evaluation of ScreenSkills’ Future Film Skills programme and has conducted fieldwork across Wales on behalf of the National Theatre of Wales.
